Greetings Sanders Park Elementary School Families!
It is with great pride and enthusiasm that I introduce myself as the new principal of Sanders Park Elementary School. I am honored to join a community so deeply committed to academic excellence, student growth, and creating a supportive learning environment for every child.
With over 25 years of experience in education, including roles as an ESE Specialist, Curriculum Coach, and District-Based Induction Coach—I bring a deep passion for instructional excellence, inclusive practices, and building meaningful relationships. Every child deserves a champion, and at Sanders Park, we will work together to ensure our scholars are supported, challenged, and celebrated every step of the way.
This year, our schoolwide theme is “Fueling Success: Full Speed ‘A’head!” This powerful message reflects our shared commitment to accelerating student achievement, cultivating a strong and positive school culture, and reaching our ultimate destination—an “A” school rating. Like a finely tuned engine, every member of our school family plays a vital role in driving us toward success. Whether you're a teacher, parent, student, or community partner, your support helps keep us moving forward with purpose and momentum.
Sanders Park Elementary is proud to be a Nationally Recognized Magnet School of Excellence for Communication and Broadcasting. Our kindergarten through fifth grade students experience a dynamic curriculum that includes debate, public speaking, research, broadcasting, and journalism. We are especially proud of our award-winning Debate Club, whose members have earned numerous medals at district competitions.
